Mozambican singer Rhodalia Silvestre shone on the stage of ‘Got Talent’ Portugal when she performed ‘Purple Rain’, an iconic song by legendary American musician Prince.
Rhodalia’s performance, broadcast on the show’s premiere on Monday, January 12, drew enthusiastic applause and transported the audience.
Rhodalia showed all her talent and charisma, namely for judges Inês Aires Pereira and Filomena Cautela, who were especially captivated by her rendering.
“I never saw anyone like you on Portuguese television(…) For me, you are the discovery of Got Talent this year,” judge Filomena Cautela said.
“You brought emotion, technique and a presence that won us over from the first note,” Ines Aires Pereira commented, visibly moved.
The singer’s participation in the show has already generated repercussions on social media, with many compliments coming from both Portugal and Mozambique, the artist’s home country.
Got Talent Portugal promises to be another remarkable stage in Rhodalia’s career, which continues to win the hearts of the Portuguese-speaking public and highlight Mozambican talent in the international music industry.
